An Episcopal Tribute to Mother Bernice Butler
โPrecious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.โ โ Psalm 116:15
On behalf of the clergy, leadership, and people of God whom I serve, I extend this tribute in honor of Mother Bernice Butler, a matriarch whose life reflected the holiness, strength, and steadfast faith of the early saints.
Mother Butler was more than a grandmother and beloved matriarchโshe was a pillar in Zion, a woman of unshakable prayer, unwavering faith, and unrelenting devotion to Christ and His Church. She lived not only with conviction but with compassion, embodying the words of the Apostle Paul: โI have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.โ (2 Timothy 4:7)
Her life was a testimony, her words were seasoned with wisdom, and her presence brought joy, light, and strength to all who encountered her. Today we give thanks for her witness and for the seeds she has sown in her family, the church, and the Kingdom of God.
Though she has laid down her earthly labor, we rejoice that she now rests in the nearer presence of the Lord. Her legacy of faith will live on through her children, grandchildren, and generations yet to come.
Well done, good and faithful servant. May her memory be eternal.
Lovingly submitted,
The Right Reverend D. A. Sherron
Senior Pastor, Global Fire Church
Presiding Bishop, Global Alliance Network

Mother Bernice Butler was truly a Jewel for the Kingdom of God here on this earth. She brought a lot of joy and wisdom to me and my husband, Terry, whom she called her boyfriend. Her sense of humor was unique in she made you laugh and chastise you (in love) all in the same breath. Our prayers of strength and peace continue for the family ??โค๏ธ??โค๏ธ??

Bernice, my dear. I can accept your transitioning. It's a road we all will cross in order to get to the other side. It will be harder to accept the fact that we won't talk again or laugh again on this earthly realm. I will always cherish our moments, what you meant to me, and your commitment to our family. I love you. Until we meet again, enjoy your journey. I know it's a good one.

Dear Butler family,
We thank the Lord for all of you (Pastor Darren, Patricia, Bros. Arthur & Jean, Candy) who, in one way or another have impacted our lives. Mother Butler has been a wonderful servant of our Lord Jesus. I believe thatโs most important as being rooted and grounded in Him dictated how she would deal with others. We love you, Butler family, and we celebrate her life. Yes, the pain wonโt go away for a while; weโre just comforted because we know her soul is at rest. Our prayers for comfort are going up for you.
Peace!
