I had the pleasure of meeting Yolanda when I was casted in her play Tales of a Grown Girl. I was shocked when I heard the news but I believe she's in a better place up above ๐๐ฝ and no more suffering. May God Bless & Comfort her Family at this time. One of the things I noticed about Yolanda was that she was a fighter. She had a spirit that never gave up for whatever she believed in. Rest In Love Sis โค๏ธ

My sister, Queen, and friend Yolanda Brathwaite, I will truly miss you as you have now gained your wings.
You were my Queen warrior. You embodied beauty, power and strength like no other. I always looked forward to what you had planned next, for Growngirlsnyc - Women's Empowering Network, your stage plays, and authored books.
You loved your family, friends and community. You had an energy that would light up a room even through all you were battling. You never complained, always moving with God forward and upward.
My sister, my Queen... What an inspiring woman to so many..I will miss you..I will always love you.

My condolences to Yolanda family. I had the honor of knowing Yolanda for many years. She was the best hairstylist I've known. My hair was slayed. When she stop doing hair to grow her business, I was upset cause no one did my hair like she did. May her soul Rest In Peace and I am glad to come across such a sweet person as her.

My deepest condolences to Yolandaโs husband, children, family, friends, and all who loved her.
I had the privilege of meeting Yolanda in 2024 when I served as stage manager for the play Tales of a Grown Girlย in Brooklyn through a collaboration with David Q. What an incredible experience it was to work alongside her, the cast, and the crew.
Yolanda was truly professional, focused, and gifted at what she did. She always carried herself with kindness, grace, and warmth both on and off the stage. She knew exactly what she wanted, and she worked with excellence while still making everyone around her feel welcomed and appreciated.
I am grateful that God allowed our paths to cross and that I had the opportunity to know and work with her. Her presence, her spirit, and her impact will truly be missed.
My prayers are with her husband, her children, and the entire family during this difficult time. I pray that God will strengthen you, comfort you, and surround you with His peace and love in the days ahead.
Yolanda, take your rest, my sister. You fought a good fight, you kept the faith, and you finished your course.

Yolanda Brathwaite was truly one of a kind โ loving, inspiring, genuine, and full of light. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, wisdom, and strength to so many people. She had a beautiful way of encouraging others to keep going, keep believing, and keep growing through every season of life.
Even though words cannot fully express the sadness of this loss, I am grateful for the memories, conversations, and love she shared so freely. Yolandaโs spirit and impact will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
May we continue to honor her legacy by loving harder, supporting one another, and walking boldly in purpose โ just as she did.
Rest peacefully, Yolanda. You will always be remembered with love. ๐๏ธ๐
